Lots of bottle variation here for me. This one reminded me of how I first tasted it. Served it at cellar-temp, and it shone. (Last time I served it chilled, and it was dark and tamped down.)

Popped an hour prior, no decant. Served chilled. Nowhere near as good tonight as it's been before. I almost wondered whether it had seen some oxygen (cork showed minor seepage), but decided it was just a very flat showing. Medium-weight, slight herbaceousness, nothing to take home and show your mama.

Delicious out of the gate, if nothing you'd sit up and talk about. I mean that as a virtue here, though. Glou-glou to the max. Three hours in, though, it got massively herbaceous -- I don't remember this about this one. I mean, like Cynar and bitters level herbaceous. Wasn't what I wanted right then, but I'm certainly not calling it a fault. Would have been curious to see it on Day 2 but it was all gone.

Subdued nose - iron and metallic. Lightweight. Rugged tannins on the back end. Picked up some weight on day 2 - much better.

Clean, focused and pretty, with perhaps a little less weight and fruit than the 2008. Still very well-balanced and easy to drink.
