First time having a DP Sav Blanc and I'm extremely impressed. This shows a really unique personality. Very enjoyable and different racy and zippy grapefruit and slight peach flavor with some Chablis-esque minerality and seashell balance. My favorite NZ Sav Blanc thus far -- makes Cloudy Bay seem pedestrian.

{screwcap, 13.5%} Pungent, intense nose of seashells and stainless steel. The palate tastes like someone put a bunch of oyster shells in a blender, so briney and salty are the flavours. Mineral, sandstone, with a touch of grapefruit and gooseberry too. No oak. Medium-bodied, with good mid-palate presence, decent balance along the tongue, and a dry, not-too-acidic medium-length finish. Clearly Marlborough, but with a touch of class about it; doesn't seem too commercial. Auction buy at A$15 was good value.

Per prior tasting note, maybe slightly less wowed, but still a fine SB, with great up front nose of citrus/grapefruit/mineral and ample body as well as a fine finish.

Typical NZ lemongrass and grapefruit aromas, but clean and crisp delivery. Almost a sparkling wine mouth feel.
