Orange rim, brick red center. Slightly cloudy. Redcurrant, farmyard, nectar, cedar, jasmine and baguette. Round, smooth and velvety on the palate. Silky tannin and medium structure. Long finish. Bottle was starting to enter prime, with plenty of fruits, acidity and tannin remaining.

Social distancing Dinner: PnP (compared to bottle breathe Clos de Beze 2012 for 2.5 hours) as this is the last bottle opened. Very forward nose with loads of sweet and floral, which is welcoming. Clean, medium weight palate delivered good balance of fruit and herbs. Not very complex at Grand Cru standard, but very approachable young wine (which is common for Drouhin-Laroze). Recommended.

Medium intensity, nose is more complex and focused than the Au Closeaux 2012. Palate is deeper but not extremely complex: spices, notes of cherry...nothing special, would not waste 130$ on that wine.
