Deep golden colour and candied fruit on the nose with some faint whiffs of petrol. Palate is dominated by juicy red apple flavours - still some spritz left. Finishes with candied lime and lingering dried pears. While the colour shows its age it smells and tastes youthful. I have 4 more and am in no rush.

very good wine and enjoyed drinking but does not escape the ripeness seen in 2005. apricot sweetness dominates what acidity there is. minerality is in the background. ripe fruit, broad and rich. maybe in 5-10 years the sweetness will recede a bit and this will be a true delight.

The von Schubert team are on song once again (couldn't resist that). A fully matured wine. Colour of light toffee, but perfectly clear; wonderful semi-botrytis lift on the nose, with those typical flavours of the matured Riesling (acidic candied fruit etc); taste = it has retained that wonderful balance between fruit and acidity that the Ruwer is noted for.
This is a wine of exceptional quality. I have two more bottles, but my feelings are that I should drink them sooner rather than later
The very best to you, and look after yourselves.

Always great to sit in the dark outside and end the evening with a classic Riesling from great soil, still not balanced, the sweet fruit is dominating the minerality, velvety flow on the palate, long+, will improve another decade+, **(*-****)

golden color, still not on the orange. Apricot still here, with acidity still present. Almost feels the same as 5y ago. I wish i had a couple more to lay down and drink. Went well with a cheese platter
