Such a solid enjoyable Syrah. I enjoy the fancy & funky of Reynvaan & Cayuse, but sometimes these table-wine syrahs from eastern Washington are such a nice surprise, and gain momentum with age. This also found a new gear day 2. Nicely done, DeLille.

November 4, 2023. Drank from Bin south 19. In cellar since May 2018. $39. KL, Barry and ASB. Hint of currant on nose. Deep dark purple. Soft full body dry with touch of oak, minimal fruit. Lovely mature wine but past prime. 7.5/10.

While not in the elite class of Washington Syrahs, this still an enjoyable, accessible wine with plenty of fruit that should do fine with good cellaring. We paired with burgers, corn and a nice tomato salad. Fun summer pour, and at solid value.

Wuite contained, still showing purple at rim
Firm tannins, garrigue and a little tar over dark berries

Lots of good in the bottle, but there’s a lack of wow.
