Bottle taken from the list of a restaurant that alternates between the crazy and the downright bad.
Very spicy nose of black fruits
Mouth with notable extraction but the whole remains coherent. The juice expresses itself well, always with a dominance of spices and black fruits with a meaty touch. This wine calls for game! The touch is nice with a nice grain. Nice balance. Lightly roasted finish with a decent length.
Very good Village, even if it's not the style I prefer, it's still quite manly but very well done.

Barrel Tasting at Sylvie Esmonin with Sylvie (Gevrey Chambertin - Clos St Jacques): PnP bottle. More red fruited, more juicy and less overt than the 2018 line up. Plenty of cherry in the red and black spectrum, good meat and spice throughout. Refined presence with still grippy, firm tannin. Needs 5+ years in the cellar to open up. 92+
