  • Excellent-
Drank very well over several nights, spaced apart, capped, no gas. In late-2019 I'd written "...needs more time to settle in. It can be a touch harsh on the back end on the back of the throat..." Well, it has settled in. I got absolutely no sense of harsh or heat. Beautiful honey and floral nose, medium-weight body with some ripe citrus and apricot and honey with enough acid. The driest wine in the Chidaine lineup, but the nose could fool you into thinking there's some RS.

  • Blind Monday Tasting #28 (Oinoscent): Lean, citrus, quince, the wine shows ripeness in the nose, with a few flinty and smoke notes.
In the palate, the wine is more complex with citrus and lemon leaf notes, tin pineapple, peach, it shows freshness, more upfront too, medium to full body and medium to long finish.
    Outstanding quality, beautiful

  • Drank well over two nights, but this needs more time to settle in. It can be a touch harsh on the back end on the back of the throat sometimes and is very floral with ripe orchard fruits dominating. I think there's going to be more bubble up as this comes together. Probably best to wait at least a couple more years.

  • No formal notes on this one, but it’s a well made wine that I’d have no problem buying again.

NOSE: primarily of tropical presentation, with notes of underbrush, grass, and spice. Overall "light."

    BODY: medium-light bodied; medium-light tan-yellow color.

TASTE: strong pear; mineral --- smoky mineral; medium+ acidity, but not as zippy as the '15 vintage of this bottling; 13% alc. not noticeable; dry. Overall, very nice, and a worthy buy, but doesn't have anything to it that made me say, "Wow!" Gut impression score: 90 – 91.
