Deep Ruby core with a wide, glassy, copper rim. Notes of black cherry, currant, and dried herbs. Picking up some toasted popcorn kernel and caramel. Round mouthfeel, moderate alcohol, juicy acidity, and elegant tannins. This wine is drinking older than it is… would have guessed 2012-13.

Nose: red berries, currant, touch of earth, there is a floral component, anise, toasty oak. Taste: plum, currant, herbal notes, carmel / cocoa on back end with the oak. Not much acid in mid pallet, but did have a lingering finish of fruit and carmel oak. Ok QPR at $25, drink now, Not sure this will cellar long or improve much. May try the 2018 to compare.

Dry, pliant, and full bodied, this shows red fruit, sweet tarts, and a kiss of toast alongside dusty tannin and youthful structure. Tasty but needs about 2+ hours to come into its own.
