Don’t get me wrong, the wine is well made and does a lot of things right, but for my taste it’s pushing ripeness too far, coming across jammy and sappy and losing the more earthy varietal characteristics I admire most about Pinot. Just not my style, but for those who love bigger CA Pinot, this is a hell of a deal compared to so many other producers out there.

Oh boy, this is a home run. I like everyone else's tasting notes so have a quick read. Extremely well balanced, structure, fruit, aromas all shine in this bottle. Just a baby too.

The color of this is just crazy; something akin to that Watermelon candy we ate as a kid, Jolly Rancher, but electrified...Unreal. Bright expressive nose of red cranberry, red strawberry and camphor. Very great. Palate is pure and lithe and this seems to just hover a few millimeters above the tongue. Amazing balance and depth, this is signature Nien Nacido at its finest. Long and exact, this is just an enjoyable yet quasi serious Pinot that while maybe not my father's Pinot Noir certainly in contention to be my moms and let me face facts, she was always had a sharper palate. Ed has made a deal with the devil for this wine and I hope he lives a few hundred years before having to pay it.

Delicious ripe red cherry, strawberry, and earth on the nose and silky smooth palate with sappy moderate long finish. Drinking beautifully young!
