  • I was wondering what to pull with raviolini stuffed with beef cheek braised in stout beer and served with foie gras and port sauce. I decided to check in on this. Fragrant nose of dark berries and plums, licorice/clove going on mint and more subtle mineral aromas (slate). Ripe fruited palate, smooth but with good acidity. The tannins are present but "enrobés" (integrated?) and the high alcohol doesn't stick out at all at this point. I think this is to drink early as it needs the big fruit for balance. Very good pairing with the meal.

    I have another bottle of this and will drink in the near future along with an appropriate pairing. Not a rebuy for me (not exactly my jam) but well made.

  • Farge: Mørk m lilla skjær
    Duft: Intens m hint av 'anilin'. Dybde, men vanskelig å karakterisere
    Smak: Kraftige tanniner m rund kant. Hint av plomme og kreke. Åpner seg etter hvert. Mer lakris og viften av frukter blir større. Bjørnebær.

    Duft: Noe fiolaktig med mere...
    Smak: Litt rundete tanniner. Slåpe og noe bjørnebær med hint av flere mørke frukter. Nyansert.

    Kan kjøpe mer.
