Dark garnet to purple color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of currants, boysenberry, black cherries and black berries. Flavors of black berries, plums and boysenberries. Medium acidity, medium tannins, medium body. Drink now with some air or perhaps over the 3-7+/- year range.

Wine and Cheese Pairing (Farpointe Cellar): Graphite and grilled meat greet the nose on the first whiff. Black fruit follows, with herbs de provence at the end. Upon entry, dark, spicy fruit fills the palate. The mid-palate has sweet tannins and pencil lead, and the finish was nice and meaty.

Aromatically very interesting with a big floral component, red and blue fruit, and a touch of vanilla. Great balance with tannins carrying the fruit to a nice long finish with juicy acid. Wine improves with decanting and time, as well as warming for a while out of the cellar and approaching room temperature. Very well done.

(Fall Line Winery Red Wine Artz Vineyard Red Mountain) A lovely nose with cherry, earth, and floral aromatics. Excellent balance of tannins, alcohol, and acidity with focused fruit. Give two to three years.

Nice acid but fruit has dropped off. Past prime.
