  • Shows how even the humblest, everyday wine from a great producer can sing unexpectedly after six years of age. This is just delicious, lighter bodied, floral Northern Rhone syrah. Yum!

  • An unblended Syrah wine from the granitic slopes of the Northern Rhône Valley (nearby Cornas and Saint-Peray). Aged in oak barrels for 8 months. Young purple-red color. Pretty nose with scents of sour cherries and some peppery accents. The taste is very youthful, with a solid tannic frame and a pronounced acidity, but also with an agreeable fruitiness. Drink now through 2011.
