(Bonny Doon Nacido Syrah) COLOR-dark; NOSE-leather; slight bacon fat; tons of white & black pepper; I love that it is not over oaked or over-the-top; TASTE-I really like this because of the obnoxious balance; you can taste the dirt; fertilizer; great sour fruit; great balance of fruit & tannins; very lush; and awfully gamey (a venison component); a savory smoked meat; this is an old world play; the fruit is so pure; makes me think of the Rhone; GV-??

I love Randall Graham and I hope he still likes me. This wine, under screw cap, tastes like freshly squeezed berries; it reminded me more of that than wine. It’s pleasant enough, tastes slightly sweet but is it a style issue or does the screw actually prevent it from developing secondary traits? At 13 years of age it tastes remarkably fresh but I’m not sure I get it.

Inky black like a black hole. Horsey sweaty almost rhone like. Bit of rose with a honey like nose. Acid is still not quite resolved but what a lot of tannins! Black cherries cassis and a bit of flinty aftertaste. Very good.
