An unfiltered wine. Pleasant funky/earthy nose. A somewhat “grippy”, or “old school” type wine. Sour cherry. Noticeable tannins. Hints of cola developed in glass after about an hour plus. Drinking nicely now.

Ides of March Wine Luch (Rocknroller's (Kevin's)): Medium dark cloudy red color. Decanted for 1.5hr and drank 1+ glass over 3 hours. The nose is a bit more inviting overall here. The nose offers plenty of soil infused, earthy aromas, a bit medicinal, sour cherry in the background, a bit of mushroom. The palate is sour cherry, earth and soil, more rustic, grainy fairly firm tannins. This really seemed to fall apart after about 2 hours showing an angular woodiness. At its peak this had some nice depth and complexity, particularly on the nose. 89+ to 90pts.

Still young. This has a good amount of extract, acid and some tannin left to mature into something very good. It isn't sweet. It won't be. But it will be a superb dry burg in about 5 to 7 years. Wait it out. Don't pop it yet. It's not that kind of wine ;)

earth and dirt and mushrooms, some clay, a little mild cheese aroma; virtually no fruit at all. Very much in the category of "you have to like the style to like the wine."
