First Wednesday Wine Club (Napoli in Bocca, Haberfield): "Served Blind. Lime, lime peel, kerosene, slight candied lime peel, slight rubber with butter and honey in support. Medium plus intensity acidity, lime, slight lime pith, slight textured burr, finishes with a tiny touch of alcohol warmth. I went with South Australia Riesling of between 10 & 15 years old under screwcap."

Long, penetrating flavour, Almost a bit blocky at first, with plenty of back-palate weight, but the piercing acidity pulls the wine into line. Chewy mouthfeel, with a slight bitter/skins-y aftertaste. A hint of petrol and flint adds complexity.
Opinion: Looking good after a couple of days open. Good drinking now and over the next 6-8 years.

Light honey colour, limited on nose out of fridge, slight phenolic. Smooth lemon- honey flavours, lingering palate , and some fresh acid

PNP into white wine glass (“Leaf” day): Medium golden to the eyes.
Smoke and petrol notes. Citrus notes and quite “Australian” riesling style indeed.
Very good to enjoy now.
93 points to me.

New Year's Eve 2019 at the Wedge (Wanaka Wedge House, Queensberry, Central Otago, New Zealand): Last botte, best bottle. Perfect equilibrium. Gorgeous aged character, with noticeable kerosine notes. Opulent fruit, limey acids, supple texture, great presence. Complex, engaging, and delicious.
