Weekly tasting group RWP #325; North and the Centre of Italy (@ VD): Beautiful bouquet with dark berries and cherries and some green herbs. On the palate juicy dark berries, beautiful sweet spices, good acidity, round tannin and a great length. A mouth filling wine and what a feast!

A beast unleashed... Great nose of a very ripe and oak riped wine. Cherries and plum in this full bodied glas of wine. But..... the alcohol is way too present and therefore the wine is out of balance which is a shame.

This is the second iteration of Graziano Pra's Amarone and whilst not quite as accomplished as the debut 2006 release, this is still a massively accomplished wine. 92pts. Full review: http://www.independent-wine-review.com/2012/04/pra-amarone-della-valpolicella-doc-2007.html

Slow Wine Guide 2012 (Release tasting) (Metropolitan Pavilion): The nose was gorgeous with plum, raisin, minerals and undergrowth. On the palate, it was remarkably balanced and fresh yet still had a tamed level of richness as notes of ripe black cherry and soil lingered into the long finish.
