This Vin Santo occupies a happy medium for me in between the oxidized vs clean, fresh styles. There's caramel, honey, nuts, but tinged with the brightness of lemon zest. Begs for biscotti which I did not provide.

Just ridiculously good. Such a knifes edge balance of heft and lift, complex honeyed sweetness and bright acidity, spice and smooth. It also happened to be a crazy steal for $33 from Benchmark. Wish I could have bought a case of this! Seems like a wine that could keep getting better forever

Completely exceeded our expectations. We bought this at Felsina in 2004 or 2005. I've had this in our cellar since then and always passed it by. I began to believe it was well past its best. Not so. Wonderful and mature, but plenty of life left. Sweet but not cloying, thanks at least in part to healthy acidity. A little Madeira-like. Aromas and flavors of candied orange, roasted almond and warm spice. 26 years young. Quite a treat.

Happily at 29 years of age, this bottle was outstanding and much richer and more complex than the 12/12 bottle.
