No decant needed. This is aging very nicely. Color is deep red with pink edges. Legs on the glass after swirling. Nose is red and dark fruit with just a hint of leather. On the palate, very nice balance of red fruit, tannins and a bit of heat. Excellent mouthfeel. I want to try my next bottle with a good steak, but it's great with cheese or by itself.

Another good bottle. This one was excellent with a belated turkey dinner, and I will have to remember this for next year's Turkey Day. Not nearly as much heat, otherwise consistent with notes for last bottle.

A very bright and pleasing Zin. Loaded with dark fruit, not a fruit bomb. ZZ Top on the swirl. Had it with braised short ribs, a perfect compliment.

These are ready to drink now. With time the jam flavor of the Mayacamas softens. Still lots of good red fruit but going.

developing some bottle age character, deep, distinct, strong typical zinfandel aromas. Seps really knows how to make an age-worthy Cali zin!
