Brought this to In Piazza for lunch with a very close ex-colleague. We had the Sliced tomatoes with Buffalo mozzarella cheese, Deep-fried fresh squids, Linguine alle Vongole, Pizza Margherita and Grilled Black Angus Tenderloin.
Pale gold. On the palate notes of dried herbs, fresh minerals, Asian pear, honeysuckle, peach, and a touch of citrus. Concentrate, lush and a touch of cream.
Lacks the finesse to make the leap into a great wine.

Color: Medium yellow. Nose: Fresh, fruity. Perhaps a tad subdued. Mouth: Very good expressiveness and length. Besides the fruit there is a distinct herbal aroma. A slightly bitter aroma in the finish that I adore. Honey, too. A hint of sweetness nevertheless being a dry wine.

Color: Light to medium yellow. Nose: Not much going on. Mouth: Good expressiveness and length. A hint of honey in the finish without the sweetness, of course. A bit on the neutral side. To drink, now.

Lovely stuff this. I have said it before - I think dry white Bordeaux is vastly underrated, and this wine is a perfect example of how nice these wines can be. This is a great wine to match with a wide variety of foods. Think richer fish dishes with aspersgus. Or go for soft / goats cheeses. Asian / Indian cuisine, or simple roast pork / chicken. It is just so versatile. This is a full on flavoured wine, especially at this point in its life, not some simple sauvignon blanc to sip sip away. Fresh citrus with gooseberries and a hint of honey, but not the sweet type, if that makes sense (?!) Some grass and mineraly chalk. It all blends in very well.
In my previous tasting note on this wine from 2018, I recommended to wait a few years, and that wait has paid off. I have 2 more bottles, and will probably have them over the next 12 to 18 months.

Light citrus and lemon notes, and hard to describe as anything but interesting!
We had this very cold but it still lacked ooooomph (aka Pizzazz!) as we say here in Malaysia, even when it was alongside its less illustrious brother from Stellenbosch Ken Forrester!
Final night of our Desaru beach holidays shared with E and Z, Stan and S.
