Part of a 2019 Bedrock vineyard horizontal tasting. Much more tightly wound than the other wines (Once & Future, Limerick Lane, and Carlisle). This wine would have benefitted from 90 minutes of air, but regrettably I did not decant. Very structured with long tannins. Raspberry and blackberry fruit was there, but came through much more purely on day 2. Really enjoyed the black tea and savory notes.

2019s are coming into their own after not being very good in their youth. Missing the structure of the 2018s, but if a juicy Zin is what you’re looking for then there’s a lot to like here today.

Pop and pour. Fresh but showing great depth and balance. Intense spice aromas and bright fruits but with an underlying brooding element. Goes down easy.

Ruby red in color. Cherry and persimmon on the nose. Medium acidity w/ tannins consistent w/ young wine. Black currant and green pepper on the pallet. Solid red blend that can cellar for a while longer to soften.
