15% abv. Dark ruby to the edges, very aromatic. Raspberry, black cherry, white pepper, mint and sage. Still potent, rich, and deep, but with outstanding balance. No need to rush if you still hold this, but it is just tremendous right now. In the zone. A wonderful California old vine mixed black.
The last time we drank this wine was 9 years ago, and what an evolution, beautiful fruit nose followed up with eucalyptus and ripe blackberry all held in balance on this unexpected cellar discovery. 94
I love Bedrock and celebrate most of Morgan/Chris's offerings, but the 2008 is hands down my favorite wine that they have made. It's a Thanksgiving tradition to open this bottle for our meal, and it literally gets better every year. Dark purple in the glass with explosive, old vine aromatics that leap from the glass. On the palate, this is literally a medium + bodied mouthful of Blueberry pie, baking spice, and a hint of orange rind that is washed down by waves of acidity. Not only my favorite Bedrock offering, but a top 3 wine for me ever. Yep. I like it that much. THANK YOU @bedrockmorgan and @underthewirewine for playing such a special part in our family Thanksgiving. Only problem is that I only have 1 bottle left :( Hopefully I can find more to carry on the tradition!
I'm about as big of a Bedrock fan as you can be, and I've had the pleasure of trying many of Morgan/Chris's offerings. That said, I can say with the utmost confidence that the 2008 is hands down my favorite wine that they have made to date. Think of your grandmother's Blueberry pie, mixed with just the right amount of structure, waves of acidity, and a long finish. Truly just happiness in a bottle. It's been a Thanksgiving tradition to pop one of these for the past 5 years and it literally get better every time. Only 2 left but fingers crossed I can source some more to keep the tradition going. Thanks Morgan and Chris for making us smile and for adding some extra joy to our Holidays!

Still rocking it in 2023. Great dark color, very smooth - no tannins in sight.
