Decanted for 1.5 hours, but didn't seem to need as long as the two other Bordeaux as this is a more modern, bigger bodied, fruit forward style. Still a lot of primary fruit, black current, subtle blackberry, nicely integrated tannins, getting secondary notes of vanilla and baking spice, subtle graphite notes. Very enjoyable right now and can probably hold another 3-5 years, but not sure it has the potential for long term aging given already integrated tannin, lower acid, and fairly simple flavor profile. At $60/bottle (purchased last week), this was excellent QPR.
Drank with 2 other Bordeaux, this was #2 out of 3 wines tasted without food; #3 of 3 when tasting with food, reflective of the more modern, fruit-forward style.

Purchased in France for under €30 following a Decanter tasting that rated it at 95 points in 2014. Still a good depth of colour, maturing at the rim. Strange funky nose, red fruit, cherries, plums, cedar, tobacco, a touch of prune (but not too much)and a hint of VA. Comes across as almost Musar like. In the mouth tannins are soft acidity is juicy, the finish runs for nearly a minute. A good solid ****1/2, but 95 points might just be pushing it. Depends if you like the style.

At Groucho with WB et al. - dark and leggy, hint of brown on rim, quite primary on nose and palate, cassis and plum, hint of earthy minerality, nice enough if bit simple but on the fruit so possibly some upside and good for 10+ years. Just about VG (16) in this ripe vintage and by far the best bottle I've had from this former under-achiever with the odd bottle I had from the 70s and 80s being nigh on undrinkable!
