Darkest red, black core, transparent --- Nose sweet and flowery, very nice, some nutty notes, chestnut, some unripe plum, cherries, some dust and some cardboard --- Palate fruity, acidic, somewhat aggressive, watery, cherries, plums, nice tart tone, elegant wood notes, some underbrush and some smoke, a lot of attractive dark notes, red currant coming through, some marzipan, overall vivid and tasty --- Finishes on licorice notes, creamy, nice sweetness. Wonderful vine, tasty and captivating. Great QPR.

Just delicious uncomplicated Bordeaux very much in the mold of the rich 2009 vintage. Firm, masculine structure with plenty of fruit. Lovely. If all bottles of wine have the same QPR as this, the (wine) world would be a much better place!

The initial entry was dry and savoury, with notes of cedar and lead pencils, underpinned with blackcurrant and black cherry fruit. Spicy and tannic, the tannins melted away to leave a residual flavour of mocha. With a more than passable length of finish this still retained freshness and a firm structure. CHP 91pts

Sterling condition, virtually no ullage, cork in great condition. Wine was superb, fully integrated tannins and ideal balance of fruit and secondary mature characteristics. A delightful claret and remarkable qpr. Down to last few bottles which should be drunk over next 2-3 years.

Quiet impressive, still young in colour, fullbodied and structured, just to inelegant for my taste. Great QPR nevertheless.
