Part of a Little Brother wine nigh with my wine group. Opened, but not decanted for over an hour before pouring. Somewhat disappointing. I've had previous bottles of this vintage and I was expecting so much more from this bottle. Not a bad wine, but it was the least impressive of the other reds we had. FWIW, the other reds were, 2014 Duhart-Milon, 2012 Alter Ego, and the 2016 Nail Vineyards Blueprint.

Magnum. 1.5hr+ decant. Dark purple color. Still young. Blue and black fruit dominate. Hints of spice, earth, and oak throughout. Medium plus depth. Just my style for a Napa Cab!

Paul Hobbs wines are generally not my preferred style, but have to admit that the big, round, buxom flavors of this wine were perfect for a charcoal grilled rib eye coated in sugar and coffee. No sign of maturity, and relaxed tannins help it drink well as a PnP. Should cellar well for another 5-7 years.
