Not so good. I am typically a fan of Blackstone because of their decent quality for the price. This one takes some imagination to even get 82. I decanted, gave it a good shake, and swirled like crazy to try and coax out some aromas and flavors hoping it was just tight, or in it's "dumb" stage. But, no go. The color is a little too light for serious Cabernet. The nose is more industrial and medicinal than fruity. Fairly low viscosity for a a Cabernet. The flavors we get tend toward red fruit. There is pretty distinct flinty steel style minerality, with some grippy little tannins. But without fruit, nothing to get excited about. Not much finish. Disappointment.

Sweet berry on the nose (blackberry jam, maybe?). Very mild tannins and maybe a hint of acidity. Not a lot of depth, but probably worth the price, still.

Opaque purple hue belies how thin this wine is. Cherries, red currants, and blackberry flavors are masked by a flinty, medicinal persistence. Industrial and generic.

Light non-descript, winery floor fumes bouquet and flavor. Drinkable at $3; a value at < $2.
