Deep ruby color and smooth mouthfeel. Loads of black cherries and subtle bits of other black fruits. Chocolate and earthiness toward the end, with a nice balance of tannin and acid on the finish. Really well done.

What a gorgeous Pinot Andrew Vingiello crafted when he vinified this medium-to-deep ruby wine that oozes with black cherries, dark bramble fruits, mulling spices, cocoa and cola. Medium-bodied, freshly acidic and with nicely integrated alcohol (14.6%), it delivers its flavors in a milieu of velvety tannins and seamless oak. Impressively dense on the mid-palate and lengthy on the back end, this is a masterpiece New World Pinot. Sadly, this was my last bottle...and this outstanding producer has opted for early retirement. That said, it is a good thing to "go out on top." Drink now-2024.
This Pinot is one that Andrew Vingiello can look back upon with pride, as it may possibly be his finest. It retains its medium-to-deep ruby color and is still packed with black cherries, dark bramble fruits, mulling spices, cocoa and cola. Medium-bodied, freshly acidic and with well-woven alcohol (14.6%), it wraps its fruit with ample sweet tannins, is dense on the mid-palate and closes with impressive length. Now another two years since my last taste, I remain impressed with how this wine is evolving. The tannins have further softened but still flex some muscle, while the fruit remains voluptuous. This is aging according to plan. Drink now-2024.

Super nose, bright color, yet dense fruit on the palate. Drank over 2 night. Super. Buy/Hold/Drink
