Decated and tasted over 3hours with assorted cheeses. Last of two bottles, first bottled taste more than twelve years ago, thought I would share that note with interested CT folks. . 9/11/2009 rated 87 points: Decanted and tasted, some must in the nose, tart welches grape juice, burnt oak, grainey tannins, good acidity on the finish. (2179 views) I actually remember tasting this bottle, the welches note sticks with me, probably because that is a term I rarely use, that being said this bottle shows the evolution any given bottle can achieve with proper storage and the reward one gets for such patience.
Amazingly this wine is still tart but in a pleasant way and yes there are pleasant notes of grape juice, but balanced by pomegranate, tea, graphite and lovely cedar notes on the medium finish. Drink now or hold for a few more years

Smooth easy drinking Bordeaux. Great for the qpr. Light fruit forward with BlackBerry notes. Minty medium finish. I would drink now. Fruit faded some as we drank.

88 points or so last night. 90 points tonight - fleshed out beautifully over these 24 hours. The more I drink this particular wine, the more it reminds me of Rausan Segla.

Deep garnet red bricking at the edges. A more restrained nose than my previous bottle. Smooth blackcurrant and plum fruit. I noticed a touch of dryness with the mintiness on the mid-palate. A smooth finish with well integrated oak. I think this is for drinking now or over the next couple of years.

Good serviceable Bordeaux still. Very nice on the black fruit side initially but it moves into a dry ungenerous note on the way to the finish. Been stored basically in a refrigerator since release. Plenty of room for this wine to really come together. That said, in the price picture then and now it was dirt cheap - $17.00 at Sam's.
