Short note - on the nose its like a high quality bordeaux, but lower alcohol and cooler climate, dark plums, cherries, sigar box and tobacco, medicinal, blueberries, crowberries, long finish, very well balanced, deep complexity, high concebtration, a bit volatile acidity that adds to the complexity, oustanding quality, 94p

Never had a GO with age and a nice patron at the resto offered me a glass. Very nice. Great savory depth that had red fruits underneath and a bit of pipe tobacco. Balanced and complex. Did amazing with squab.

A biodynamically produced Blaufränkisch from Oggau on Lake Neusiedl in Austria. Overall a very fine and interesting wine, somewhat avant-garde. The last time I had this wine in the glass was a year ago and from then I remember it more fruity and hedonistic (unfortunately no note). Today it struck me as comparatively cool. Still pleasant and certainly with a few more years of cellaring potential. DM89.

Opaque violet with slight separation at edges. Nose initially pronounced buttery popcorn. Some rubbery reduction; some brett wildness. A red fruited note underneath. A grapey note. Palate some wild red berries, a strongly mineral iron note. A purity of fruit and energy on palate.
Natty and hence drank in one go as I didn't feel this would do well overnight in the fridge. Still joyful however and shows why some may love this style. 93 pts for a clean bottle
