Pleasant restaurant wine. As. A legend, Rodriguez offers this more modest Tempranillo from Toro as a great exposure to that region's wine making, along with wines of greater magnititude. The 2008 is a bit overly dark-- dark soil, wet, dark wood tastes, a little bit less rounded Tempranillo than in other vintages , and the nice dark red center fruit offset a bit by acid. Finish is also a tiny bit short.
