I don't normally expect a whole lot from vino spumante (or whatever) but gosh was I pleasantly surprised upon opening this. Way more complexity than many an average champagne: funky and earthy in an alluring way, with a little of that toasty, yeasty quality, yet layers of citrus to go along with it. Definitely one to repeat if it can be obtained.

Impressed! Lots of strawberry, apple, bread crust on the nose. Palate has rich, full texture that’s definitely above average. Medium plus finish, good acid. Best Italian sparkler I’ve had, I think it could easily stand beside entry level NV Champagnes. Would be fun to put it to the test sometime. Great qpr too at $25.

Super dry and more effervescence than I recall from previous bottles. Citrus (lemon) is predominant.
