Nice wine. Started out with a little funk and high acidity, but came back around to nice cherries. Very modern and fruit forward. Good, but not mind blowing. Did like it!

Deep red. Nice nose. Mainly has cherry pie, modest spice, good length and depth. In spite of its youth it is drinking well now. I did like its balace. Made in a style emphasizing fruit rather than earthy notes.

Popped and poured. Bright ruby red, medium depth, clear. Fresh and sweet cherries, almost candied. Not very complex. But after some time it gets spicy - licorice, tobacco perhaps. Quite a bit more interesting. The palate starts lean and a bit drying, with tannins of very fine structure. It gets some more body after some time in the glass and on day 2 and 3, becoming more enjoyable. But it does give me the impression of insufficient ripeness. **

Opened and poured, this wine gave a good to very good showing. The aromatics show a mix of youthful red and black fruits with earth notes and some subtle hints of spice. At times the bouquet exhibits some greens notes that fade in and out over time. The medium bodied palate shows good overall balance but seems somewhat short on the finish. Overall this wine shows some green notes (mostly on the bouquet, at times on the palate) that detract from the overall impression and keep this wine from giving a more compelling showing.
