Still very dark and dense in the glass. Raisiny and extracted, with notes of chocolate and tart cherries. There is a bit of acidity here. It almost reminds me of a medium quality Amarone. Otherwise not sure I would have identified this as Italian -- more like a new world wine with some age on it. There is a sharp bitterness at the finish. Again, not sure if this will improve or not.
