Black cherry earth nose. Beautiful lush black cherry and plum fruit with balanced acidity and tannins. Lengthy finish where no one thing stands out. As always my preferred experience.

Start to come together, but need a couple more years on back. Nice smell, wood. leather, orientel spice, guess new barrique. High acidity, good length and balance. little hot in background.

Beautiful cherry and raspberry nose. Vibrant red fruit with earth flavours are fresh and balanced with its tart acidity. Modest tannins and moderate length finish.

This is absolutely modern and a huge contrast to the Fontodi Chianti Classico Vigna del Sorbo. Dark ruby colour. Expressive nose with liquorice, clove, obvious oak, dark cherries and even blackberries and moccha. Almost full-bodied, velvety-textured and balanced with a long aftertaste. More international in style and almost ready in terms of structure, while further cellaring could result in better oak integration.

Chianti Classico and related BYO (KOGS): Very closed down and just not very nice to drink. Seems hollow and uninspired at the moment.
