Wonderful wine in a great spot right now. The Cab Franc and Merlot have found a very nice balance (previously the tannins overwhelmed the palate slightly). Very rich (blackberry jam, cassis, truffle and a hint of mint). I also got a strange buble gum smell on the nose (in a good way).
Wish we had more.

Yakima Valley Maiden Voyage Tasting Tour!; 11/14/2012-11/18/2012 (Yakima Valley AVA, Naches Heights, Snipes, Horse Heaven Hills, Red Mountain, Rattlesnake AVAs): 50/50 blend of their amazingly aromatic Cab Franc with exceptionally flavored & well balanced Merlot- this wine hits all the high marks for me. Complex layers on the nose and palate with depth at the base and concentration of fruit, minerals, acid and earth linger on the teeming finish. Deep dark chocolate, cherry, aniseed, fresh cut flowers, slate, sage, marion berries and currants are noted with each lengthy sip. Remarkably well made, this wine will cellar well for years to come. Drink 2015++

Drank during BBQ cookoff at Severino Winery with Severino, Two Mountain, and Cultura wineries pouring and selling. We bought a bottle popped and poured and drank over the course of the evening. This wine NEEDS a long decant now to open up and to resolves itself, but the experience of opening and following a bottle, even with distraction of a fun party tells me this will be a special wine. Deep flavors of blue and red fruits, complex spice box and floral character and silky tannins on the finish. Will buy more and stow away for a few years before opening again. Score range 91-94 with high end potential.
