earthy, musty smell. Easy quaffing. Very light and simple. Nice though. Some of the reviews said the fruit has faded, maybe so, but not a bad wine to drink very casually. Hints of blakcberry and black cherry.

Final bottle. 2003 was like the credit crunch in that most critics predicted greatness, but instead the wheels came off. Really ugly on opening - disparate, loose and simple - it came together somewhat after an hour of aggressive decanting to make decent drinking. Root beer, cherry jam and, towards end, a little suggestion of the red flowers on its label. Residual tannin suggests could survive 2-3 years; but I'd always recommend decanting. From 83... to 86-87, 86.

Medium body, bright tart fruit. Would be great with turkey or by itself when you want an lighter red wine. Would buy again in half a heartbeat and keep on stock. A lot of enjoyment for the $. Better when served with a little chill.

Fruit has faded away but I found this a bit earthy with delicate aromas and some leather. Still interesting.

A little past its prime. Strawberries dominate the nose. Short finish.
