Candied blueberries, almost syrupy but not nearly thick enough to warrant that type of descriptor. Soooooo balanced that I almost can't believe this isn't an even pricier bottle.
Short, but wonderful finish.
I'm all over the place with my notes as I am adding them whimsically near the very last sip of my glass.
This is an excellent wine and I am so thankful to have it sliding deep inside my wet, hot, willing mouth.

Brought this a restaurant in NYC and it was absolutely perfect today. This was probably the best of my 3 bottles that I had of this. It was ready to go right out of the bottle. As soon as you opened the cork, you can smell dark berries, chocolate, and a hint of roasted coffee.
The palate is full bodied, rich, opulent. As soon as you take a sip you can tell this is a very special wine. It has layers and layers of fruit. I do feel that this is starting to be on the downside. It probably peaked about 1-2 years ago. That being said, it still is super enjoyable. But I would advise that if you have this drink it up to fully enjoy this and how good it really is.
We had this with a steak and it was the perfect pairing.

Really came into its own after a two hour decant. Started off really nicely with eucalyptus/menthol notes, that gave way later to cherry and red cassis. Adeptly balanced, showing big, CA fruit, but with everything lined up perfectly. A point!

Wow! Wonderfully rich and full Napa Cab. Full of life. Deep purple, soft tannins and big mouthfeel. Ripe fruits and berries. Excellent bottle of wine.
