fabulous. red fruit and floral nose, lots of midbody and structured classic neuf finish. has the concentration and structure to go another 10-15 years but hard to resist now.

Friday Group Brown Bag Tasting (EBCC): Double blind. Lighter color, opening with notes of mixed red and black fruit, dried herb and spice. Full-bodied with flavors of dark berry fruit, rosemary stem and pepper with a lengthy finish. Good supporting acidity.
I guessed CndP but never thought a majority, let alone, all grenache. Another lovely 2016. (R&D)

Compelling from start to finish, the nose, with all of its showy, ripe, spicy fruits, flowers, and herbs is the initial grab. But it is on the full-bodied, dense, rich, opulent, multi-faceted palate, with its non-stop layers of ripe, vibrant, pure, peppery, deep red fruits that seals the deal. Drink from 2022-2035.

During a MOT walkabout tasting, no detailed notes. Deep and aromatic, a very attractive CdP. The balanced 2016 vintages shines through. 94+
