  • A great nose - spiced fruit and perfume. The palate is sweeter and a little jammy, but this changes over the course of an hour or so, with seemingly the spice taking over some of the perceived sweetness. This is heading for what I regard as the perfect CndP maturity and on the basis of this bottle I will hold for another year, or maybe two, if I can, before trying again

  • Dark red in color. 15% ABV. Savory nose of dark fruits, roasted herbs and leather. Medium to full bodied with mouth watering acidity. Impressive concentration and power. Impeccable balance. Cassis, kirsch liqueur, herbes de Provence and pepper on the palate. Tremendous length on the finish. Stunning CdP that has the stuffing to drink well for another 3-5 years.

  • From a magnum bottle. Enjoyable classic CdP. Dried cherry, asphalt and roasted beef on the nose. Palate was red orchard fruits, hints of leather, roasting herbs, soft tannins and good balanced acidity. Moderate full flavored finish. Enjoy magnums for another 5 years.

  • Double decanted and it relaxed in the glass over the course of the evening. Slightly smoky red fruits framed with matured gentle tannins and some decent acidity. Very enjoyable and no rush to drink the rest of the case yet…..

  • Crimson in color. 15% ABV. Tons of sediment. Traditional nose of red fruits, wet asphalt and garrigue. Medium body with strong acidity and exceptional balance. Concentration and power in spades from a 14 year old CdP. Kirsch, herbes de Provence, blood and dried cherries on the palate. Medium length on the finish. I've seen conflicting notes on this wine but I couldn't be happier with what is in my glass right now. Super wine from an average vintage. Best over the next few years.
