Lots of purple fruit, soft tannin. Complexity grew with air as coffee and leather started to come out. Wine held together beautifully and continued to drink well through the bottle.

Decanted for sediment. Rich, crimson color. Great nose right out of the gate with some blackberry, cassis, black currant, a bit of toasty oak, and some herbal/mint notes. Really nice. Aromas carry through to the palate with a mix of dark, ripe fruit balanced with some slightly savory notes and just the right amount of oak. Medium+ acid and tannin. Long, smooth finish. Drinking fantastic right now and paired perfectly with dry aged ribeye.

Karen and John generously shared this bottle from their private cellar as the culmination of their New Release Tasting. Pop and Pour. Fragrant nose, even before the first pour. Excellent follow through in the glass. Dark color. No browning or thinning. Fresh and youthful. Abundant dark skin fruit. Genteel complexity. Enveloping vinosity. Medium finish. I believe this wine will continue to be enjoyable for several more years.

Savory flavors here of currant, red/black cherry and cassias with dried herbs and mineral notes. Toasty oak throughout with dry, dusty tannins on the finish.

Pop and pour into poor quality BYOB glasses. Didn't matter. This was wonderful. Layered and balanced with dark fruit dominate but cherry and some spice throughout. Very nice finish.
