  • The nose was deep and intoxicating with dried red fruit, perfume, ginger flowers, and sous bois. The palate was deep with a sexy coffee bean and mocha undertone overlaying on a basket dried red fruit. The wine was more grand cru than village in terms of weight, and perhaps just a bit short on the length and complexity. A superb village. 93-94

  • Served blind, first glass is green, superb vintage composure, my guess was 1990 CdB. Second glass shows classic Ponsot hawthorn profile, juicy, sweet, delicate, lots of volume with linear acidity. I think this is very close to 93 CDLR, if only lacking the structure of grand cru. My WOTN. 93-94
