At our cabin. The wine was dark ruby in colour and threw a notable amount of sediment. It offered dark and some red fruit flavours, intense black pepper, liquorice and vegetal notes as well as coffee, tobacco, some chocolate and a burned rubber component, with a touch of residual CO2, medium-level acidity, slightly coarse tannin and good length. The 14.5% ABV were well contained. The wine had moderate concentration and seemed slightly underripe, but had good complexity in the context of its price and kept improving as time passed. Good value. Yet Post House has much more to offer if you are willing to spend just a few bucks more. Drink now.

The wine was dark ruby in colour and threw some sediment. It offered dark berries, blackberry, chocolate, tobacco, black pepper, spices and cinnamon on the nose. On the palate the wine showed red and dark berries, cherry, blackberry, coffee, chocolate, cocoa, black pepper and liquorice, complemented by cinnamon on the finish, with good, lively acidity, ripe, medium to medium-plus tannin and average to good length. The ripe, modern, medium- to full-bodied, medium-complex wine had good concentration and a good mouthfeel. It was reasonably balanced except for some heat from the alcohol. Solid; very good value.

Dark berries, tobacco, medium finish. for the price I would drink it as a familiar go to wine without fanfare.
