Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Open nose with yellow fruits, some meadow flower hints and quite a load of oak: spices, vanilla cream and nuts.
Dry and pretty fullbodied palate with refreshing acidic backbone and yellow fruit - not really tropical but not far from it either. Melon, baked apples and slight pineapple. Creamy to oily touch. Quite heavy on the oak. New oak character, spices and nuts. Fried banana, coconut and a hint of glue - reminds me a bit of rhum (though the 14,5% alcohol is pretty balanced). Mid-length.
Biodynamic stuff from the Languedoc giant. The acidity really makes a difference here. Without it this would be unpalatable, but now it's quite tasty, even if very oaky.
