Burgundy color, faded just a bit. Somewhat subdued, likely reflecting its age with muted raspberry and cherry notes and a touch of allspice. Very pleasant with good balance and a moderate finish. Better than I anticipated given the age of the wine. First bottle was a great disappointment, so this bottle was a nice surprise. Went well with the New York strip and sweet potato fries on a lovely fall day.

Moderate burgundy color with really no bouquet or flavor, just tannins and acidity. I wouldn't even say that it was grapy. Obviously over the hill with nothing more to add.

Central Coast Trip; 3/30/2014-4/1/2014: Tasted in the Brewer-Clifton tasting room. Lots of pepper, full-bodied, angular, dry/tannic (tea). Textured mouthfeel, granular. Food wine - monster of pinot. Could use some time, but tasty now if you want a beast of a pinot. Drink 2016-2021

Tasted at Brewer-Clifton. Medium ruby color. Nice nose of dark cherries, minerality, some.pepper and cocoa. Similar flavors on the palate. Medium+ body with medium acidity and medium+ tannin. The tannin seems to be a little harsh at.the moment, but it might integrate with 1 or 2 years more in bottle. Nice Pinot full of character.
