  • Clean deep ruby/garnet; clean medium nose of cassis, dried blackberry and balsamic; dry; high acidity; medium plus tannins; high alcohol; medium plus body; medium plus to pronounced flavour intensity; palate is tarter with addition of coffee, black licorice, leather and tar: long finish; drink now or in a few years; this was a stunner - big and powerful with some beautiful tertiary; the nose was initially quite shy but opened up after about an hour; after about two hours the balance started to tilt with the alcohol becoming more noticeable; recommend drinking it in that 1 to 2 hour window for an optimal showing; this was my last bottle :(

  • Big and bold with aromas and tastes of black berries, currents, prunes, licorice, leather, and oak. It has very robust tannins and high alcohol. It’s a little too sweet and unbalanced for my tastes. At 13 years of age, I’m not sure if additional cellaring will ever get this wine to settle down. To me, it’s a Tempranillo “Camus equivalent”.

  • Long finish. Full-bodied. I can’t believe how well the high ABV is balanced in this beast of a wine but still a bit too much of a wine for my palate. It’s a really well made bottle but it’s sheer power and presence is a bit intimidating.

  • Full body dark fruit driven Priorat: blackcurrant, bramble, pepper, vanilla, heat, long full finish.
