Nicely balanced Pinot. Cherry, raspberry and baking spice on the nose. First taste has nice ripe cherry fruit with cinnamon and more spice. Nothing overpowering, everything in balance. Long finish and light tannic sensation at end with anise. The longer it's open - the better it gets.
Better showing than previous bottles. More sweet cherry and less of the off putting baked/stewed strawberry that seems to dominate some Cali and Oregon Pinots. This is still nothing exceptional, but it's a decent mid-week drink.
A decent Cali Pinot. Not ridiculously over-extracted like so many are, but hardly Burgundy. Classic cherry elements without any sourness and a very good mouthfeel but just not enough going on to truly impress. Perhaps it is already starting to fade.
