For my taste, this is an excellent Chianti. A little expensive at $22, but I can see why. Pretty good right upon uncorking. That is sometimes important, since many times when I just want some wine but don't have time to wait, I'll just grab one of these from the cellar. A bit of a waste, for sure, given the fact that a couple of hours of patience will reveal a lot more of the wonderfully balanced red fruit and spices. Uncomplicated but charming.

Tart cherry with a hint of minerality. Hot, with pronounced acid and gripping tannins. Might settle down with age. Enjoyable, but nothing special.

Had some nice spice to it, but wasn't as fruit-forward as I had hoped.

Tart and vivid, but a little too medicinal.

Tasty Cherry with full body. Great now but.....Wine can benefit more after two years in the bottle.
