Medium depth colour . Red black . Cherries , dark spice , soy, plums, beautiful floral fragrance. Silky, creamy, finishing with fine furry tannins and fair acidity. Lovely dark fruits, sherbet spice, violets and damson. At a nice age, drinking well, but has a bit of time.

Beautiful Vosne perfume on the nose. High toned fruits and exotic spices on the palate with a long finish. Still young, but rich and layered. I love the 2012 vintage and this was extremely impressive. No regrets in trying one now!

This wine possesse a lot of things that I love about top Vosne Romanee; structured elegance with delicious dark berry fruit and those fabulous Vosne spices on the already incredibly complex finish. Taut and crunchy with almost spritzy acidity, this needs more time but the potential is so tantalizing. 94+

Definitely in the Cathiard style, but with the intensity dialed up a notch over the village wines I've tried recently. Lots of mineral and berry on the nose, as well as a touch of a coffee-like note. This was great from the start but with about three hours of air this really exploded and became ultra complex and delicious. Still youthful, and additional age might bring more complexity, but this is drinking well now.

deepish red color starting to lighten at the rim, intensely spicy cherry and game nose, leather, on the palate plush ripe fruit, still very primary, sugarplums, cherries, sweet and ripe, aggressive leather notes, the intense spice inherent to the vineyard still largely hidden, good length with blueberry and violet notes, 4 hours later- racier and getting exciting, violets, wild cherries, intense black spices, cinnamon, allspice, not quite the full measure one expects of Malconsorts- but still a fine array with great tension and texture, in a good place and I would say just about mature, I expect it will retain a certain youthful puppy fat all of its life.
****, now to 2037.
