A deep colour, interesting nose of blackcurrants, violet, plum and nutmeg, then a cool, fresh mouthful of the same, with a broad slab of dark cherry flavours in the middle section and long but crisp finish.
Organic, this tastes much more like a Loire Cabernet Franc than a wine from the Northern Médoc. No excessive sweetness, no oak that I could smell or taste, not at all high octane, very calm, gently but firmly persuasive.

This bottle seemed a little cooked and the tannins are still very intense. Give it another year or two at least. Peppery red fruit and a little bitterness. I think this bottle was off and on top of that we drank a wine before its time.

Dark ruby core. Slightly volatile nose, showing lots of ripe fruit (plum, cassis, blackberry) upfront. Essentially dry, balanced acidity, with plenty of soft tannins. The oak is present but unobtrusive, and as young as this is, the primary fruit is just glowing (compared, for instance, to the 2012, which is more austere). Long length. This will surely improve with time, but it is surprisingly enjoyable with a vigorous decant.
