Ruby red, hint of orange bricking on the rim. Moderately pronounced nose of garrigue, charcuterie, red fruits. Bright acid, firm chalky tannins, cherry pastilles, minerality. Flavours are short, but it's an enjoyable wine nonetheless.

Just had a glass of the 2012; like that wine, this is a vintage I have tracked over the years. This has a nose that reminds me of Luden’s cherry cough drops.
This is more substantive on the palate than the older wine, and also feels a little less rustic than the 2012. I don’t follow the vintages on Etna, but this feels a more complete wine than the ‘12.

Very different from the one I tried many years ago. This was a full bore fruit monster. It had some balance, but it just seemed crazy young. Big black fruits, strong tannins but good balancing acid. This needed a TON of air and did get better, and was much better the 2nd day. Hard to see where this is going. I'd give it another 5 more years if you have one.

decanted one hour, in the glass for 2 more. med red; w/air, there's some wild herbal florals, typical raspberry, smoke, black mineral; rich & intense, not dense; solid for the $, tho a little grippy still, & maybe always.
J'attendais plus de ce rouge que j'ai trouvé acide et alcooleux. Commence à montrer des notes tertiaires. Donc, ne s'améliorera pas selon moi. Correct, mais pas un coup de coeur.
