Fifteen years post vintage from a half bottle under screw cap. It’s showing a bit younger than I might expect, but there’s tertiary development. A bit of creme brulee rides over the peachy fruit, and there’s a mix of spice and a bit of that oily element on the back end. It has the 2005 richness, and shows more Spätlese in style. This could probably go another ten years, but no need. Perfect with roasted pumpkin soup for lunch.

After months of sensory deprivation, this is the first time I feel like I am adequately getting a wine. The nose is still a little muted for me, but there is a clear citrus element, as well as peachy overtones. On the palate it is rich for a kabinett. It actually seems fleshier than it has over the last several years. But along with that there is a brightness of acidity and a mineral tang to the finish. Lovely & great QPR.

Had a glass at Revolver. Very tasty round peach flavors, but a little disappointing because the sweetness is much higher than I'd expect from a kabinett. I'd have thought this was a spatlese or even an auslese. The acidity didn't cut through enough to make this a great food wine.

Would of thought it was a spatlese, but still a delicious drink. Seems like this could go for quite a few more years.
